Barbara Tannert-Smith received a B.A. and an M.F.A. from the University of Massachusetts. Her areas of teaching and research include children’s and adolescent literature, fairy tale, creative writing and the environmental humanities. She has most recently published essays in Children’s Literature, Children’s Literature Association Quarterly, International Research in Children’s Literature, and Bookbird.
